☪️ Quran:Chapter 25: The Criterion – Al Fourkan سورة الفرقان

This Surah addresses the objections raised by the disbelievers of Mecca against the Quran, the Prophethood of Muhammad (pbuh), and his teachings. It offers clear rebuttals to their doubts, warns of the consequences of rejecting divine truth, and affirms the Quran as the decisive criterion between right and wrong. Through piecemeal revelation, divine wisdom is unfolded, calling for a spiritual struggle against disbelief. False gods will disown their worshipers on the Day of Judgement, and regret will engulf those who turned away from guidance. This Surah concludes by contrasting the noble character of true believers formed by the Prophet’s message and training with the ignorance and arrogance of those who oppose the truth. It calls on the listener to reflect and choose between genuine faith and stubborn denial.

I seek refuge with Allah from Satan, the condemned.

With the name of Allah, the Gracious the Merciful.

(Acknowledge and declare that Allah is the author of the Quran)

1- Blessed Who (Transcends all resemblance and likeness) brought down the criterion upon His worshiper, so it becomes to the worlds (what is other than Allah) a warner (To creation with freewill, Human, Jinn)

2- That to Him belongs the dominions of the heavens and earth, and did not take a son and there was no for Him a partner in dominion, and created everything, so determined it (e.g. Created Its capacity according to the task to perform, Fate and destiny) in (precise)determination

3- And they took from those lower than Him deities that do not create anything and they are being created, and do not possess to themselves harm nor benefit, and do not posses death nor life nor spreading (At Resurrection)

4- And said those who disbelieved” Indeed that is but falsehood he slandered (Claimed, Fabricated intended lies) and assisted upon him other folks, but indeed they have come by unjust and perjury (predetermined judgment supported by perjury)

5- And said “Lines (legends, myths) of the former people, which he wrote it (ordered to write it), it is dictated upon him morning and nights (Constantly repeating to memorize it)

6- Say, brough it down (Quran) by Who knows the secretes in the heavens and earth, indeed He was Forgiving Merciful ( Open the door to believing and repentance)

7- And they said “ what with this messenger, he eats food and walks in the markets, if not was brought down to him an angel, so would be with him as warner” (To support him)

8- Or threw to him a treasure, or be for him a garden he eats from, and said the unjust “Indeed you are following but a bewitched man” (Magic spell took his mind)

9- Look, how they strike to you the similitudes, so they strayed and cannot find a path (back from their lies)

10- Blessed, that if He wills, (Transcends all resemblance and likeness) He would make to you goodness more than that, gardens beneath which rivers flow, and make for you palaces

11- But they have denied the hour, and We have prepared for those who denied the hour, a blaze

12- When it sees the from far place, they heard from it anger and fiery exhale

13- And if they were thrown from it in tight place, horned (chained together), the cried out there, for destruction (For death to come and take them)

14- Do not cry today for one destruction, and cry for many destructions (Because this is never ending)

15- Say” Is that better or the eternal garden, that which is  promised to the pious? It was for them a reward and a destination

16- For them in it what they wish eternally, it was upon your God an asked promise (Asked by the believers in their prayers, to get what promised through the messengers)

17- And the day He stuffs them (gathers) and what they worship from that is lower than Allah, so He says “Did you strayed my servants those (None has choice on Judgement day), or did they stray the path” (mislead themselves away from the path)

18- They said “Exalted are you, it was not for us to desire to take from those lower than you any allies, but You allowed them comfort and their fathers until they forget The Reminder (Allah the benefactor), and were barren people.

19- So, they dined you, of what you say (Allah telling these false deities that the disbelievers claimed differently, but Allah knows they are truthful), so you cannot avert or be supported (addressing the disbelieving deniers), and whoever commits injustices from among you, We will make him taste great punishment (Addressing All)

20- And We did not send from before you (Muhammed), from among the messengers, but they eat the food (Humans) and walk in the markets (Gain living), and We made some of you to other some, as a trial (Raised some above others to trail both), so would you be patient (Accept Allah’s choice or revolt and disbelieve), and Your God was ever seeing

21- And said those who do not wish to meet Us (Be resurrected) “if not was brought down upon us the angels, or see our God”, they have become arrogant within themselves (Its beyond them to follow the messengers and believed themselves to be above their real worth) and they are over injustice, by great injustice (Exceeded in injustice, by their claims and arrogance which is great injustice to themselves)

22- The day they see the angels (Death or Resurrection day), no good tidings that day for the criminals (Tidings of Punishment) and they will say (Th angels) “prohibition, prohibition” (Now all your will on prohibition)

23- And they presented to Us that they have done, so We made it scattered motes (of aches, dust) (They did it for their sake and got their reward in the world, and had no regard for God)

24- The companions of Paradise, that day, a better settlement and a fairer resting place (also your own place for mental relaxation place)

25- And the day the skies split by clouds (That covers the sky) and the angels descends in majestic descend

26- The sovereignty that day (Highlight of the day), is the Just of the Merciful, and was a day upon the disbelievers, that is insolvent (Can not argue their debt)

27- And the day the unjust will bite on his hands and say” Oh, I wish I have taken with the messenger a path”

28- Oh, woe I wish I had never taken so-and-so as a friend

29- He had strayed me away from the remembrance after it had come to me, and Satan was for human an ever let down

30- And said the messenger “indeed my folks has taken this Quran as an abandoned”(Thing)

31- And like this (Your enemies who abandoned the Quran) We made for every prophet an enemy from the criminals (To show contrast, the prophet comes in times of distress for guidance), and sufficient is your God as a guide and helper

32- And said those who disbelieved ”If only not the Quran has come down upon him as one sentence (All at once then maybe me we would believe, just sophistry), like this so We affix with it your heart (As you will face ongoing challenges, needs ongoing connection to Allah) and We recited it in recitation (In stages according to circumstances, and over time and rhythm to facilitate memorizing it)

33- And they do not bring you a similitude, but We bring you the truth and best explanation

34- Those who will be stuffed (gathered) on their faces to Gehenna those are worst in position and furthest astray from the path

35- And We have brought to Moses the book and made with him his brother Aaron as minister

36- So, We said ”Go to the folks who denied Our signs” so We devastated them with utter devastation

37- And the folks of Noah, when they denied the messengers (Denying one messenger e.g. Noah is like denying all messenger as they call one with same message from Allah with no contradictions), We drowned them, and We made them for the people as sign, and We prepared for the wrongdoers a painful punishment

38- And Aad and Thamud and the companions of the well, and many horns (Heads of generations) between that

39- And for all (of them) We struck for them the similitudes, and for all (of them) destroyed with destruction (In various ways)

40- And they have come upon the village that was showered by the distressing rain (Mecca disbelievers caravans during their travels, pass by Sodom, the village Lot’s people), have they not seen it, rather, they do not hope for resurrection (Do not want or believe in resurrection)

41- And if they see you, they indeed do not take you but in mockery “Is that who Allah has sent as messenger?”

42- He indeed almost strayed us from our deities, if not we indeed have stayed patient upon them, and they will know when they see the torment, who has strayed the path

43- Have you seen that who has taken as his deity, his own passion (desire), would you be upon him a gradian (You are not responsible for him to change his desired way, and follow the truth)

44- Or you think that most of them hears or reason, indeed they are but like cattle’s, rather they are further astray in (their) path

45- Have you not seen how your God extended the shadow (from Sunrise time notice the shadow moves with the power of God), and if He wished would made it still, then We had the sun upon it as guidance

46- Then We gripped it to Us a simple grip (Look at the day God is in charge of everything)

47- And it is He who made for you the night (darkness) a garment and the sleep stillness (A break from motion), and made the day a spreading (for Activity)

48- And He is who send the winds as good tiding, between the hand of His Mercy (Send the rain that precedes God’s mercy) and sent down from the skies pure water

49- To bring to life a dead town (barren land) and We give it to drink, to those from what We created of livestock and many humans

50- And We certainly have disbursed it (allocated the rain buy God’s will) among them so they remember, but refused most of the people except disbelief

51- And have We willed We would have sent to every village a warner

52- So do not obey the disbelievers (Excuses the prophet Infront of them to disobey), and strive them with it (Quran) a great striving

53- And it’s He who permitted the tow seas that is sweet and palpable and that is bitter salty (To flow as freely) and made between them a barrier and an inhibitor that is inhibited (Prevent salty and fresh water to mix)

54- And it’s He who created from the water humans, so He made him lineage (By male) and marriage (By female), and your God is All-capable

55- And they worship from among those that are lower than Allah, those who do not benefit them nor harm them, and the disbeliever was against his God a backer (A backer of disobedience, or of no value to Allah do not worry about their plotting so toss them behind your back)

56- And We have not sent but a bringing of good tidings and a warner

57- Say” I do not ask you for it any wage, except for whom wishes to take to his God a path” (The prophet wage, if they wish, is for them to do good deeds and strive in Allah’s path so that they may receive the reward from Allah)

58- And rely upon The Living who does not die, and exalt by His Mercy, and is sufficient for you Him as He is by the sins of His servants are acquainted (Suffices you that He knows the sins plots of his servants and well capable to aid and protect you)

59- He who created the heavens and the earth and what in between them in six days, then leveled on the throne, The Merciful, so ask by Him an informed (Ask who knows about creation which is Allah, so ask about Allah who are well informed by Allah about Allah via His holy books)

60- And if is said to them “Prostrate to The Merciful” they said “What is The Merciful” do we prostrate to whom you order us, and it increased them in aversion

61- Blessed is He that made in the sky towers (Constellations houses in the skies people use it to calculate e.g. time and calculations) and made in it a lamp (Self lighting sun) and a bright moon (Reflecting light)

62- And it is He who made the night and the day a succession, for whoever wants to remember (Allah’s and His signs) or wants to give thankfulness

63- And the worshipers of The Merciful they walk on the land gently (without swagger, arrogance, or haughtiness), and if the ignorant (Who has information contrary to reality) address them, they say peace (of leaving)

64- And those who night stay (Spend parts of the night) to their God, prostrating and standing (remembering the blessings of God that were bestowed upon him)

65- And those who say” Our God dispense away from us the torment of Gehenna”, indeed its torment was a creditor (like adhering credit collector)

66- Indeed, it is wretched settlement (Temporary lodging for some) and abode (Forever for others)

67- And those who spend and do not extravagant and do not stinge, and was between that standing (Establish mediation between extravagance and stinginess)

68- And those who do not call with Allah another deity, and do not kill the soul which Allah has forbidden except by right, and do not commit adultery (unlawful sexual intercourse), and whoever does that will meet (the sinful) torments

69- Will double for them the tormented at the day of Resurrection (The sinful torments as they are role model for evil that encouraged others, so they carry the burden as the perpetrator first, and also the burden of those who follow their example, and whom they harmed) and will abide in it humiliated

70- Except who has repented, and believed, and did righteous, then those Allah will replace their evil deeds with good, and indeed Allah was Forgiving Merciful

71- And whoever repented and did righteous, so indeed he repents to Allah with repentance (determined sincere repentance)

72- And those who do not witness in perjury (In word, deed, or acknowledgment), and if they pass by what to be canceled (It's useless nonsense ill speech) they passed with dignity (Did not engage)

73- And those who if were reminded of the signs of their God, they do not fall upon them deaf and blind (Intentionally Ignore, drops without order or arrangement, or being forced physically or emotionally)

74- And those who says “ Our God grant us from our pairs (spouse) and offspring an eye comforting (emotionally settling and joyful to the eye), and make us to the pious a righteous lead (Imam, He follows God's path and does not deviate from it)

75- Those will be rewarded the chamber (Top chamber) with what they have been patient (Staying on Allah’s path), and will be given in it greeting and peace

76- Abiding eternally in it, best is a settlement and abode

77- Say (To the disbelievers) ” Does not burden about you my God (does not bother about you), if was not for your worship (which did not do), but you denied, so will be for you (Your denial) an adherence (Adhered obligation to you never leaves you, and since you persisted in disbelief, so the punishment will persist and never leave you too)
